Sandustry Recipes & Production Reactions Cheat Sheet
Current Sandustry recipes for Wet Sand, Wet Seed, Gold, Burnt Residue, Voidbloom, Fluxite, Steam and the core production chain.
What are the core Sandustry production recipes?
These are the high-value reactions and machine conversions checked against current official references:
| Input | Condition / machine | Output |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Sand + 1 Water | Contact | 2 Wet Sand |
| 1 Seed + 1 Water | Contact | 1 Wet Seed |
| 1 Wet Sand | Shaker | 1 Residue + 25% chance of 1 Gold |
| 1 Residue | Ignition | 25% chance of 1 Burnt Residue |
| 1 Burnt Residue | Kinetic Press after 25+ block fall | 1 Gold + 1 Seed |
| 1 Void Petal + 1 Redsand | Vertical contact | 2 Voidbloom |
| 1 Voidbloom | Top of Flux Emanator | 1 Fluxite |
| Water or Snow | Fire / heat | Steam |
| Steam | Sky | Water / rain |
| Steam | Steam Turbine | 10 Energy + Depleted Steam |
Why do short Gold tests look inconsistent?
The Shaker Gold step is probabilistic. Each Wet Sand always becomes Residue, but only has a 25% chance to produce a Gold pixel.
Burning Residue is also probabilistic: each Residue has a 25% chance to leave Burnt Residue. The Kinetic Press step itself is deterministic once valid Burnt Residue falls at least 25 blocks onto the Press.
Why do Wet Seed lines clog?
Wet Seed has density 100, the same as Water. It can remain suspended instead of falling cleanly out of a tank.
Keep wetting and sorting as separate stages when possible. A Seed that reacts inside a Filter can become stuck if the new Wet Seed no longer matches the Filter rule.
See Wet Seed automation and Filter troubleshooting for those failure modes.
How does the Voidbloom chain work?
Void Petal and Redsand must meet vertically. One material has to land on top of the other; side-by-side contact is not enough.
That reaction creates 2 Voidbloom. Feed the Voidbloom onto the top side of a Flux Emanator, where each Voidbloom converts to 1 Fluxite while the output bloom has space to grow.
Where should a new factory start?
Follow the Beginner guide for the Gold loop, then add Infinite Water and Pipes as liquid logistics become more important.
