How to Use the Flux Emanator in Sandustry

What the Flux Emanator Does

The Flux Emanator turns Voidbloom into Fluxite:

1 Voidbloom → 1 Fluxite

Fluxite can also generate naturally in the world, so the machine is a repeatable production route rather than the only source.

Correct Input Side

Voidbloom must reach the top side of the Flux Emanator.

The current Official Wiki explicitly documents top-side input. A side or bottom feed should not be described as supported unless it is reproduced in the current build.

If the machine appears inactive, check:

1. the input material is actually Voidbloom;
2. Voidbloom is landing on the upper surface;
3. the feed is not blocked before it reaches the machine.

Where Fluxite Appears

The Voidbloom reference describes a circular Fluxite “bloom” growing from the Flux Emanator. It continues to grow while:

• more Voidbloom is supplied; and
• there is space for the bloom to expand.

That makes open space around the lower/output area more important than packing the machine tightly between unrelated production lines.

Building a Reliable Layout

A conservative layout reserves:

• vertical space above for Voidbloom delivery;
• open space below for the Fluxite bloom;
• a route to excavate or collect the generated Fluxite;
• separation from reactions or materials that could obstruct the input.

Exact optimal spacing and maximum throughput are not documented well enough to present as fixed numbers.

Research Cost vs Construction Cost

The current Official Wiki Research page is marked WIP and presently lists the Flux Emanator unlock at 2,000 Gold.

That is a research unlock cost. Do not treat it as the construction cost of each Emanator.

Common Problems

Nothing processes
Confirm top-side Voidbloom contact.

No room for output
Clear the area around/below the machine so the Fluxite bloom can expand.

Wrong recipe upstream
Current Voidbloom uses 1 Void Petal + 1 Redsand → 2 Voidbloom, with vertical contact required.

Old “FluxLoader” advice
FluxLoader is Demo-era mod-loader terminology, not a Flux Emanator production mechanic.
